The HOA acts as a voice for community members with ELS (the park owner) and through other associations. It also lobbies the government to ensure our collective voice is heard and is taken seriously. The more home owners that are members of the HOA, the stronger our voice and negotiating position.
The Heron Cay HOA also purchases insurance so that we can enjoy our many activities within Heron Cay including the Fun n’ Games (social committee) activities and events.
The HOA is pleased to welcome all new and existing residents into the Association. The requirements for joining the HOA and maintaining your membership are:
Owning a home in Heron Cay.
Paying an annual membership fee of $25 per household.
The process for joining is simple:
Go to the HOA during standard office hours
First time HOA members need to show proof of home ownership (license or deed).
Fill out a basic information form (also used for the Website Online Directory).
Pay your annual fee.
As an HOA member your benefits include:
Access to the Website Online Directory.
Lobbying by the HOA Board with ELS to maintain and update our communities’ services.
Information on changes to legislation that affect communities like Heron Cay and its homeowners.
The right to elect Board members or to become a Board member if you run and are elected (must be an HOA member for 6 months before you can stand for election).
Information and opportunities to connect with many people and activities in the community.
